HEY, I'M FRANCIS

I'm so glad you're here! First and foremost,

I'm a follower of Jesus Christ. I was saved by Him in May of 2017. and since then, everything has changed-for the better of course. He's my Savior, my Sustainer, and the One who continues to carry me through every season.

I'm a wife, as stay-at-home mom to five amazing kids, I homeschool one of those kids, and I'm a content creator with a passion for capturing life's beauty-both the everyday moments and the extraordinary ones. I'm also on a mission to turn my one-acre lot into a homestead. From gardening and cooking to making videos and caring for our animals, life here is full-and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

There's never a dull moment, and I'm thankful for every bit of it. All the love, growth, joy and even the chaos-I owe it all to the Lord. He is my Provider, and this life is a testimony to His grace.

I’ve always been one of those women who’ll try new things… unless it’s raw fish—then I’m out. 😅 But for the most part, I love trying new things. They don’t always turn out in my favor, but this time, it totally did.

I had a little extra time in my day, and for me, that means finding something productive to do. So I told myself, “Let’s make some Dutch oven bread.”

Behind the scenes, since day one, my husband has always been my #1 supporter, fan, and hype man.

I truly couldn’t have picked a better man for the job.

I believe in humble beginnings, middles, and endings — so this isn’t to brag or boast, but simply to express deep gratitude for what I’ve been given. My husband is one of the most selfless people I know. He never asks for anything, but he’ll give everything.

He has always wanted to see me succeed in my dreams and efforts, and this is just one more example of his kindness.

Throwback to a video I made 4 years ago. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas, all the momma’s mommas.

When we think of love, it’s often reduced to just a feeling—but love is far more powerful and complex, especially within marriage. One thing a godly marriage has taught me is the depth of true forgiveness, selfless love, mercy, grace—and the reality that it all takes a lot of hard work. By God’s grace, I continue to grow in these areas daily.

But it hasn’t always been this way. I’ve been the woman who tore down her own husband with her words and actions, letting the enemy’s lies shape how I saw him. I viewed him through a lens of bitterness—and if I’m being completely honest, even hatred. I was tearing apart what God had brought together with my own two hands.

Years ago, this day was just another day. In fact, it was probably a day I thought, “It’s Friday—time to get turned up.”
But as I worshiped last night, all I could think about was the cross—how my God, my Lord, suffered and died for me.
Me—the one who never thought of Him.
Me—the one who broke His heart.
Me—the one who held Him to that wood.
Me—the one who mocked Him.

Yet today, I celebrate Him—the One who is worthy of all praise.
Thank You, Jesus.

While my husband tried his luck fishing (and finally caught a little catfish we had to release), I explored nature to find some unique free decor, including natural “pom-poms” and colorful shotgun shells. * 1 cup unsalted butter or 2 sticks
* 1 cup sugar
* 2 eggs
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 2 cups all purpose flour
* 1/2 teaspoon salt or pinch
* 1-2 tablespoons milk or as needed

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare baking sheet.
2. In large bowl or stand mixer. Mix butter and sugar on medium low speed until light and fluffy.
3. Add the egg and vanilla and continue beating on medium low speed.
4. Slowly add the flour and salt just until fully incorporated
5. Add milk 1 tablespoon at a time or if needed at all. (Dough just needs to be piping consistency.)
6. Place batter in piping bag. Pipe onto cookie sheet. Refrigerate for 20 to 30 minutes
7. Bake 10 min or until edges are golden brown.
8. Allow to cool and enjoy!

When your kids come home to a locked door! Not what they were expecting.

October has been wild, and it’s not even technically over yet. But while I have the chance, I just wanted to reflect, relax, and rejoice. October has been a month of trials, suffering, and so much joy. This month, I got out of my own way and had the incredible opportunity to do something I never in a million years thought I would do. I was challenged in ways I didn’t even know I could be. I experienced spiritual warfare in ways I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. I can’t say I succeeded or suffered well in all aspects of the warfare, but I can give glory to God for the ways He was glorified. He has given—and is still giving me—peace beyond my understanding, and for that, I can say thank you, Jesus!

Oh the things I could say about this boy here! What a blessing it has been to be this boys mama. Enoch has challenged me in ways that can’t even be explained. He challenges me to be a better mom, person, and Christian. I truly mean that. If you know Enoch then you know what I mean, his heart for righteousness is not only seen but felt.
